Family Adventure Days

At DC Outdoors we understand that your time is precious and you need to make the most of your time and money. As a result, our Family Adventure Days are a great and affordable way to make these times special and to create treasured memories that will long outlast the day itself. Our Family Adventure Days take place in the beautiful Peak District. You can decide on a single all day activity, and if that’s too difficult, you could opt for an activity in the morning and another in the afternoon. Again, your Family Adventure Day is a bespoke experience. You can choose from: Climbing, Abseiling, Weaselling, Stand up Paddleboarding(SUP), Canoeing, Kayaking, Hillwalking, Orienteering, Stream Scrambling.

Cost: £240 per Family (2+2 or 3+1) extra family members can be added at £45per person. Book now

The Gething Family adventure day

The Worral family Adventure Day

Here’s what Martin had to say. “We booked a family day experience opted to do a full days canoeing on the river Don in South Yorkshire. Dan was superb in teaching us proper canoe paddling techniques, how to navigate the canoe and how to approach rapids etc. He was also very knowledgeable of the local area and what wildlife and sights we could expect to see, which made the trip really interesting. The river is so peaceful away from the roads. At the halfway point we had our packed lunch before joining the broad part of the river where the canal joined. The trip took us past Conisbrough Castle and under the giant Conisbrough Viaduct before completing our trip at the Boat Inn, Sprotborough. The Holmes Family Adventure Day

Simon got in touch with us wanting a Family Adventure Day of Orienteering and Kayaking. We met at Black Rocks and when through some basic map reading and navigation skills needed to find the Orienteering markers. After spending the rest of the morning searching for as many as we could find we had lunch and moved to Cromford Canal for a afternoon of Kayaking. Once on the water we looked at fundamental techniques to control the kayak and then set off for a short journey along the canal and back. We all had a great day.
